All employees of First Initiatives enjoy a wide range of benefits.
Annual leave – As a full time member of staff you will be entitled to 25 days leave plus public bank holidays.
After 3 years of continuous service the leave days will increase to 26 rising to 28 after 4 years’ service and 30 days after 5 years’ service.
If you work part time you will get a proportion of the holiday entitlement (pro rata) depending on how many days you work.
Pension scheme – The organisation runs a stakeholder pension scheme with Scottish Equitable to which you are allowed to contribute up to 6% of your salary after a successful 6 month probation period First Initiatives will add a contribution of 3% of your salary.
Flexible Working – We do our best to meet any requests for flexible working and look at each request on an individual basis.
Childcare Vouchers – If you use a registered childcare provider you can buy childcare vouchers to help you pay for childcare and the money is deducted from your salary. This is a saving to you as you don’t pay tax or national insurance on the amount used for the vouchers.
Maternity Benefits – Employees who have 2 years continuous service with the organisation at the 11th week before they are due to give birth will receive an additional benefit of 20 weeks half pay. This will be paid from week seven of maternity leave.
Learning and Development – We believe that continued learning and development is essential for you, the organisation, and for the service users of the organisation to achieve outcomes associated with the delivery of an autism specific service.
We offer a full range of opportunities for development from job specific core skills training through to all levels of National Vocational Qualifications, at all levels in the organisation you are encouraged to develop your own skills and take responsibility for your learning.
